The jambs are three of the sides that surround the door itself. The hinges and
locks attach to one of the two vertical side jambs. A horizontal head jamb is
placed above. Door jambs support the door, ensuring it hangs level with the
floor and closes tightly for protection

Brickmould is a trim that surrounds the door frame to cover the gap between the
frame or windows and the exterior walls. It serves as an aesthetic boundary,
creating a seamless look between a door and the rest of the house.

Customers build their custom-made doors. However, the standard options include (without the additional upcharges above) the following:
- Threshold in mill finish;
- Maintenance-free 4-9/16" PVC composite jambs;
- 1-1/2" exterior trim (brickmould);
- Touch-up paint or stain bottles for minor deficiencies;
- No door hardware is included in double bores and single-bore configurations;
IMPORTANT NOTES:
In instances when double doors have been selected, the active leaf will be determined based on the swinging picture (for example, an in-swing double door, RH (right hinge), will have the right leaf active and the left leaf inactive with the astragal, and vice-versa for LH (left hinge)). Locking preparations for double doors are assumed to be the same on both door slabs.
Please note that all out-swing pre-hung door systems will be an inch (1") shorter from the posted frame heights above.
